Shakes determined to be included in Strikas squad
Shakes, Supa Strikas’ talented young forward, is determined to be among the eleven players to represent the Men in Red in their next Super League game.
Shakes, who didn’t play well in their last fixture against Sultans at Strikaland, is on the verge of putting his name on the list of the 11-man squad to be named in a week’s time by Coach.
Coach is said to be unhappy with some of the players, especially after Strikas suffered their worst defeat of the season when they were hammered by the team from Dubai in an explosive encounter, which the Men in Red lost 4-1.
Most sports nuts agree that Shakes and top players like El Matador, Cool Joe and Twisting Tiger failed to show the hunger to win the game. Coach is now in a position to choose a different team, and no one is guaranteed to start.
Shakes’ dream of returning to the starting eleven will be tested at training, where many will want to impress Coach so they can be picked. Shakes should keep a close eye on his striking rivals who will be fighting for his position.
“I’m hungry to wear the Supa Strikas shirt and show Coach what I can do on the field. I didn’t play my best against Sultans and I want to show Coach that he can still trust me to do my job upfront,” said Shakes.
It’s going to be tough to tell who will make the starting eleven, as every player is under pressure to show Coach what they can do.
